So this past weekend was my third Citruscon, everyone else's fourth. Told y'all last year why I missed the 2025 edition, but now I'm caught up. or so to speak. Here's the roundup.

I wasn't able to do as many panels for Friday and Saturday because I had Second Job at some of the more peak times. But I was able to make it to a few ones. Friday I saw ones talking about Gengoroh Tagame's body of work, as well as non-fanthology zine culture and how one can go about translating it to BL fandom. Saturday I saw panels on himbos throughout the years, Japanese BL terminology and the specific tags people use to describe tropes/archetypes/etc., yuri manga recs for people who mainly read yaoi (although i was late for that one because Second Job), and one on fanfic etiquette that took a bit of a wild turn into the time one of the panelists got heat from the guinea pig enthusiast community of all things. I also got to do a mini-doujin workshop, which I'll post the end product of later on once I've got it uploaded to Squidge.
Sunday I caught the rest of the JP BL terminology panel on a rebroadcast since I missed the latter half, and then saw a rarepair panel that was probably one of my favorites of the con! A bunch of people were able to submit little videos spreading their rarepair propaganda, and I was sold on at least two of them (ChiboDomon from G Gundam, DonLepo from Don Giovanni -- yes, the opera by Mozart). Also enjoyed the cybersecurity panel and the round of Press Your luck that i didn't sit in on, but did draw a lil bit of quick n dirty yaoiz for (to be posted later). And then I found my second favorite panel of the con, which is a presentation on "Comfort Character Letters" which basically means that people will write to you in character and send you the copy. I feel like that would be a banger exchange idea...
[MEETUPS]
Was a LOT quieter on the meetup front this year because my interests skewed more niche this time rather than having popular interests in 2024. Balanced my time between the Vocaloid meetup, western animation meetup, the post-panel discussion for the doujin making workshop, tempural/Scumsuck's artist alley booth, and the rarepair panel post-discussion. Pretty relaxing, honestly, since these chats were a lil quieter than some of the other meetups that were going on. Special shoutout to those who watched the unabridged version of the fanifesto I was gonna send in but went way over time on after I linked it in that chat. You are the true MVPs ^^
