Fanfic: Coronation, Abdication
Oct. 6th, 2024 04:18 pmAfter a good two weeks without any hyperfixes in sight, I finally have one again. This time, it's Inscryption. Again. Haven't really actively paid any attention to it in a while since the greater fandom died down, although maybe since it has, it'll be less of an ant-farm. Maybe next time I do an exchange I'll put in a req for it. In the meantime, here's a drabble.

He saw the wretched creatures on his daily walk through the woods.
Joined at their tails, they thrashed and yanked at each other, pushing each other down in hopes they'd be able to break free.
A pitiful sight, he thought to himself. Yet he found himself captivated by it. The way each of the rats tore their peers apart was almost poetic... Four equally damned souls not realizing the futility of their situation, chasing a victory that would never come.
Raising his camera, he decided to end their suffering... and commemorate it at the same time.
The Rat King...
